City of Canada Bay

City of Canada Bay is working towards reducing the reliance on single-use plastic in our community by making reusable shopping bags. Are you someone who loves to sew, would like to learn to sew or just love creating things? Join one of our sewing bees at Concord Community Centre to learn new skills, start conversations, engage with your local community and work towards a plastic bag free City!

When:
Saturday, 23 February, anytime between 1-5pm
Saturday, 25 May, anytime between 1-5pm
Saturday, 3 August, anytime between 1-5pm
Saturday, 19 October, anytime between 1-5pm

Where: Concord Community Centre, 1A Gipps Street, Concord

Who: anyone who can sew, wants to learn to sew or can lend a hand cutting, ironing or pinning bags

What to bring: sewing machine, overlocker or fabric (if you have them) and lots of enthusiasm!
