Boomerang Bags Lithgow
Our group started in March 2018 and has been meeting weekly at the Lithgow Information and Neighborhood Center (LINC) on the corner of Railway Pde. and Padley Street Lithgow.
We meet every Friday from 10.30am to 2.30pm, and we would love to have new members. Don’t feel that you need to commit to coming every week, or staying for the whole four hours. It is more about having fun and connecting with each other. You don’t even have to be able to sew…there are lots of other jobs like cutting out bags, or pinning and ironing, but we can teach you to use our sewing machines and over-lockers if you want. We have made over 1000 bags in our first year, but more importantly we have had lots of conversations to foster sustainable behaviors to ensure a healthy future for our planet, and we have had a lot of fun doing it.
