Recycled Bags at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market

We convert used t-shirts into bags that we give away free to shoppers at the Downtown Windsor Farmers Market. Rather than prohibiting the use of single use plastic shopping bags, we prefer to give people a beautiful durable option.

Because we work with donated materials and the construction is ridiculously easy, it’s actually less effort to give the bags away free than it is to charge even a nominal amount. Some people love the idea so much that they give our project a cash donation. We use this money to subsidize tables for vendors who face financial barriers.
