Boomerang Bags for Taranaki Enviroschools

As part of our Zero Waste Theme within the Enviroschools kaupapa, we have introduced Boomerang Bags to Taranaki.  We hope to bring together young people, schools and the general community to help support the move away from single use plastic.  Reusable bags are one strong area that we can focus on together.

We have loads of places, shops, markets etc wanting to distribute the bags but only have these ‘outlets’ where we have people sewing.  We’re always on the hunt for more people to sew or donate materials for it.  If you can sew 1 bag or 100 bags we welcome you.  Just get in touch & we’ll send you the pocket for the front with our logo on it and the pattern.

Where should people donate materials?:

If you’ve got material, working sewing machines or overlockers, fabric scissors, cottons etc that you can donate, then please drop them off to the Taranaki Regional Council, 47 Cloten Road, Stratford and leave them for Lauree. Thanks so much for that ?
