Glen Eira Boomerang Bags

Members of the Glen Eira community volunteer their time to meet once a month. We sew donated recyled fabric to produce Boomerang Bags.  Our bags are distributed to local business’ to make it easier for people to give up using single use plastic bags. We enjoy making a postive impact and meeting others in our community.

Also, in partnership with Glen Eira Adult Learning Centre (GEALC), Boomerang Bags Glen Eira volunteers, Heather Baxter and Catherine del Tour take boomerang bag sewing classes. You can join them every Thursday within the school timetable.   In these sessions they share sewing skills while making boomerang bags.  The group enjoy a great deal of interesting and pleasant conversation and the classes provide a friendly space for non English speaking community members to practice their English.

For details about our monthly sessions please drop us an email bbagsgleneira@gmail.com or contact our coordinator, June
