Boomerang Bags Clyde North
Boomerang Bags Clyde North had our first sewing bee in July 2023 and to dat we have sewn 300 Bags, Including Christmas Bags to encourage no wrapping paper waste.
We have our Monday sewing bees 10am to 1pm in the Makers Studio of the Clubhouse at Lifestyle Meridian Clyde North, ALL VERY WELCOME.
Currently our regular sewing group are residents at Lifestyle Meridian Village but we are hoping any interested residents in our local area will join us in the future, Sewing skills are not mandatory. We have other jobs we need help with, including ironing handles. pinning, cutting or ripping fabric to size for bags. Also storing sewn bags ready for new owners.
Help with distributing bags and encouraging people to shop with reusable Boomerang Bags every shopping trip and refusing single use plastic and paper bags.
Sourcing shops and businesses who will stock our bags. No cost to the business. Have a basket or hat stand to display our bags and collect the donations for us.
We are always ready to accept fabric donations. This can be brand new, no longer required craft/sewing fabric. good condition and clean used sheets, doona covers, pillow cases, table cloths etc. All GOOD CLEAN CONDTION Fabric can become a Boomerang Bag Clyde North.
Our aim is to keep that used fabric out of landfill and give it a new life as a much love and used Boomerang Bag ready to shop 1000’s of times. A Boomerang Bag is made strong, durable and with love and care by volunteers and can be washed and reused many times.
We’d love your company any Monday morning you are able to join us.
Be warned it fast becomes and addiction.
