Casa Mia Montessori School
Casa Mia Montessori School (pre-primary to Yr6) in Bassendean WA is committed to care of the environment both at the school and in the larger world. The school collects items to upcycle, recycle and reuse ranging from fabric for the Boomerang Bags to plastic milk bottles to sell the Worm wee and ring pulls and soft toys for the Wheelchairs for Kids Project. The separation of rubbish occurs in the classroom daily with the food scraps going to the worms; organic waste to the compost bins; paper etc to the recycling bins and very little to land fill. We proudly reduced our weekly green bins from two to one.
We would love to organise a sewing bee with the community and our children. Please contact us.
