Boomerang Bags Bloomfield

Bloomfield River district, is 63 kms south of Cooktown Nth Qld. Our very small group of volunteers hold sewing workshops, to make Boomerang Bags in the Bloomfield Community Hall, Rossville/Bloomfield Road, Ayton Qld.’

We’ve been sewing bags since April 2018, with approx 560 bags finished to date. They’ve  been distributed from local shops, events, markets & festivals.   Recently we gave a bag to every child at the Bloomfield School & next will be Rossville School.

Where should people donate materials?:

Ayton Library, Ayton IGA Store, Cooktown Market (Helen’s stall, selling condiments, bee’s wax wraps etc.) Sth Cape York Catchments at 31 Charlotte St, Cooktown, Bloomfield Community Hall.

Sewing bee details:

Bloomfield Hall, Bloomfield/Rossville Road, Ayton Nth Qld. Thursdays 12pm to 4pm. Please phone to confirm.
