A fun hands-on community volunteer sewing project to end single use plastic bags. Come sew (pin or iron) with us!!

The Bull City Boomerang program is under the umbrella of Don’t Waste Durham, a 501(c) organization, creating solutions that prevent trash.

We meet downtown Durham at Sew Crafty, a sewing studio, four times/month:

1st & 3rd Tuesdays: 6:30-8:00pm

2nd & 4th Sundays: 1:00-4:00 pm 

You’re welcome to sign up for a portion or the whole time!

Where should people donate materials?:

We welcome your donated, gently used fabric, t-shirts and extra thread. We also welcome small groups of volunteers with some sewing experience, from rotary clubs, churches, schools, etc, or sign up with your friends!
