Boomerang Bags Hume Valley School

Hume Valley School caters for the needs of students with mild intellectual disabilities, with ages ranging from 5 to 18 years old. Our school has implemented a Community Connections program where students are encouraged to engage with a range of community-based projects. Textiles was introduced in 2018 as a new Community Connections program and has since joined the Boomerang Bag community. The Textiles group have made well over 30 Boomerang Bags and we have been gifting these to staff at the school, students and visitors. The Textiles students have explored and practiced a range of new skills to create the bags and are very proud of their contributions to their community.
