Boomerang Bags Leigh-onSea

We are a friendly bunch of residents in Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, UK. We make Boomerang bags at home and at group & community sewing bees. We also produce ‘take and make’ packs for others to make at home. At the moment we have two drop off & collection points at The Refill Room and Leigh Community Centre. Our bags are distributed for free to borrow and bring back, or to keep and reuse. For those able to, we accept small donations to fund our costs and have benefitted from a grant towards room hire from Leigh Town Council and a donation from Waitrose as part of their Community Matters Scheme. We encourage the involvement of local schools, businesses, community groups and residents – all welcome. No sewing expertise necessary! Let’s bring our community together to reduce plastic bag use in Leigh!
