Boomerang Bags Mackay has a small group of dedicated volunteers who make reusable shopping bags out of donated materials. Since May 2017, we have distributed over 3300 bags FOR FREE to the Mackay community. Supported by Mackay Regional Council, we operate from shop 3, The Dome, Victoria Street, Mackay and are open from 9am-12.30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. We need your help to continue this grassroots initiative. Come and make the connection and inspire people to be part of the solution to plastic pollution.
