Northfield Boomerang Bags

Northfield is a small town in south central Minnesota that has two colleges and is the home to Malt-o-Meal cereal- so on many days it smells of chocolate!  I started the group in early 2017 at our public library and have now expanded throughout the town. Over 4,000 bags have been made by volunteers from donated up cycled fabric. We have many fabric collection drives that conclude with “take-n-sew” kits created for volunteers to take and sew. Our bags can be found at Tandem Bagels, Content Bookstore/Northfield Yarn lobby, The Food Shef, The Used a Bit Shop, FiftyNorth,  The Clothes Closet, Bethel Church and at events around town.
