Boomerang Bags Buninyong

A group of volunteers from the Buninyong Area, working to reduce plastic pollution by creating reusable shopping bags by up-cycling old and unwanted material.

Boomerang Bags Buninyong works to reduce the community’s reliance on plastic bags by engaging people in the making of bags, and providing them with a a fun alternative that they can be proud of.

We are always on the look out for anyone that can help. You can help by either donating material (and other goods), and getting hands on to help make bags.

If you can:
– Cut Fabric
– Sew Bags
– Screen Print Logos
– Iron Logo Patches
– Or even help sort all of the individual pieces that make up a bag
Then we want you!

There is absolutely no skill requirement, we will find something that works for you. For inexperienced sewers, or those who aren’t confidant with their skill level, our more experienced sewers are always happy to help.

We are a non-for-profit group, and request that anyone looking to donate to the group would do so by offering us materials that we can use to help make bags.
