Boomerang Bags Montclair, NJ

Inspired by a conversation about the NJ state plastic bag ban at the September Montclair Environmental Commission meeting, I got my hometown, Montclair, NJ, designated as a Boomerang Bags community. Now volunteers meet monthly on rotating date, times, and locations to make Boomerang Bags from donated material.

The bags we make will be shared with the Montclair community as a contribution toward fostering sustainable practices and reducing plastic bag use. We ask for a suggested donation of $5 per bag and the proceeds will go towards our project expenses. If we make enough bags at our Sewing Bees, volunteers are welcome to have one as a thank you for helping to make them or for donating material!

This project is being organized by the Montclair Creative Reuse group.

Would your business like to have Boomerang Bags available for your customers? Contact me to make that happen!
